The Felix of 18th September contains an article, mentioning that
periodicals will not be on loan from October. I verfied this at
the LPL library, and was indeed told, that from the 1st of October
periodical loans will be suspended. The department of Computing - in
contrast to many other IC departments - does not have a departmental
library (the technical library only covers products spported by the
CSG). Therefore, members of the department have no way to access
articles, and periodicals, other than the LPL library.

With the new restrictions, studying an article will have to be done in
the library space, without access to your computer, desk, and papers.
The only alternative would be to queue for photocopying it, thereby
wasting time, money, and paper. Am I the only one who thinks this is
unreasonable? What do others think? Which would be the best course of
action?
