Source Code Collection

All the examples you will find in the book Code Quality are based on existing open source software code. The source code collection used for drawing the examples comprises more than 63,000 files occupying over 540MB. The same collection is also included as a CD-ROM in the book Code Reading. Therefore, if you've got that book, or plan to buy it, you can reuse its CD-ROM. You can also download the complete collection in the following formats.

gzip-compressed ISO CD-ROM image

Use this file, if you don't want to devote disk space for permanently storing the source code collection. You can decompress this file using the gzip program, and then burn it on a CD-ROM using the "burn CD-ROM image" facility available on most CD-ROM writing software. The resultant CD will work on any system supporting the Rock Ridge extensions or the Joliet format.

Use this file on Windows systems. With Windows XP and later, you can directly browse the files in the archive using the Windows Explorer.

Use this file, if you want to install the source code collection on a Unix, Linux, or Mac OS X system. Decompress and expand the archive using a command like:
